Nitin Nabin arrived in Bhubaneswar on Sunday as part of his two-day visit to Odisha, receiving a grand welcome from BJP leaders and party workers at the airport.
Senior BJP leaders, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda, MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Dilip Ray, along with ministers and MLAs, welcomed him with floral tributes.
Following the reception, Nitin Nabin stayed overnight at the Rajya Atithi Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
Key Meetings And Training Camp Scheduled
According to his official schedule, the BJP National President will participate in a core committee meeting at the party’s state office on Sunday.
Later in the day, he is scheduled to inaugurate and address the district-level Pandit Deendayal Training Mahabhiyan-2026 camp organised by the Bhubaneswar organisational district at the Asian Institute of Public Health University campus in Jatni.
In the afternoon, Nitin Nabin will travel to Puri to offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple and partake in Mahaprasad.
After returning to Bhubaneswar, he will hold discussions with state BJP office-bearers, Morcha presidents and members of the council of ministers at the BJP state office.
Visit Holds Political Significance
The visit comes at a significant time as the BJP government in Odisha is completing two years in office under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
This is Nitin Nabin’s first visit to Odisha after taking charge as BJP National President around three-and-a-half months ago, and party leaders described the tour as important for strengthening the organisation ahead of future political programmes.
BJP Leaders Welcome Visit
Ekamra-Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh said the National President’s visit would boost the morale of party workers and provide direction for future organisational activities.
Baijayant Panda also welcomed Nitin Nabin through a social media post, describing Odisha as the sacred land of Lord Jagannath.
Aparajita Sarangi stated that the BJP National President would guide MPs, MLAs and office-bearers on future strategies and organisational responsibilities.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said Nitin Nabin’s participation in the training camp and visit to Puri would inspire party members across the state.
Meanwhile, Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal said the National President would hold several meetings with party leaders and ministers during the visit.
