Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates for various government positions during the 20th Rozgar Mela on Saturday.
The appointment letters will be handed over through video conferencing as part of the nationwide employment programme. Across Odisha, two Rozgar Mela events are scheduled to be held in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
The programme is aimed at formally welcoming newly recruited youth into different departments and organisations under the Government of India.
Recruits To Join Various Central Government Departments
The newly appointed candidates will join several Ministries and departments of the Central Government.
These include the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence, among others.
The nationwide Rozgar Mela will be organised at 45 locations across the country.
During the events, appointment letters will be formally presented to selected candidates. Some newly recruited employees are also expected to share their experiences of securing government employment and joining public service.
Rozgar Mela To Be Held In Cuttack
In Cuttack, the Rozgar Mela programme will take place at the Convention Centre on the Ravenshaw University campus.
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram will attend the programme as the chief guest and present appointment letters to the newly recruited candidates participating in the event.
The Cuttack programme will form part of the larger nationwide Rozgar Mela, during which Prime Minister Modi will address newly appointed employees through video conferencing.
161 Recruits To Attend Bhubaneswar Event
The second Odisha programme will be organised in Bhubaneswar at the Rail Auditorium.
Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan will attend the event as the chief guest.
Around 161 newly recruited candidates from various Central Government departments are scheduled to participate in the Bhubaneswar programme.
The recruits have been selected for positions across several departments and government organisations.

The appointments cover sectors including railways, healthcare, postal services, taxation, social security, education, defence and financial services.
PM Modi To Address Newly Recruited Candidates
The Bhubaneswar programme will begin with the screening of a short film explaining the objectives and key features of the Rozgar Mela.
This will be followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the newly recruited candidates through video conferencing.
The interaction will form part of the nationwide programme being conducted simultaneously across multiple locations.
