Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ Continues Strong Box Office Run, Beats ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’

Bhooth Bangla continues its impressive theatrical run as the horror-comedy maintained strong momentum even in its fourth week at the box office. The Akshay Kumar starrer recorded solid growth on its 26th day, proving that audience interest in the horror-comedy genre remains remarkably strong.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ Registers Growth On Day 26

According to trade estimates, the film collected Rs 1.60 crore on Tuesday, marking an 18.5 per cent jump compared to Monday’s collection of Rs 1.35 crore. Such growth during the fourth week of release is considered rare and reflects the film’s steady hold among audiences across the country.

With the latest numbers, the movie’s domestic net collection has climbed to Rs 161.70 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 191.78 crore. Despite nearing the end of its first month in theatres, the film continues to attract viewers with more than 4,000 shows still running nationwide.

Surpasses ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ Films And ‘Stree’

The latest achievement has helped Bhooth Bangla secure a place among the highest Day 26 collections in Hindi cinema history. The film reportedly ranks 16th among the top Day 26 collections in Bollywood and 18th in Indian cinema overall.

Notably, the horror-comedy has overtaken several successful films from the same genre. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had earned Rs 1.29 crore on its 26th day, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 collected Rs 1.10 crore. Meanwhile, Stree — widely praised for its long theatrical run — had managed Rs 0.87 crore on Day 26.

The comparison underlines the consistency and staying power Bhooth Bangla has demonstrated at the box office.

Strong Audience Response Continues

The film’s steady theatrical performance is also visible in its online ticket sales. On BookMyShow, the movie reportedly sold around 35,000 tickets on Tuesday alone. Its cumulative ticket sales on the platform have now crossed the 3 million mark since release.

Trade analysts believe the film’s blend of horror, comedy and mass entertainment has helped it sustain audience interest well beyond the initial release phase. Positive word-of-mouth and repeat viewership are also believed to be contributing to the movie’s continued success.

As Bhooth Bangla inches closer to the Rs 200 crore India gross milestone, the film has emerged as one of the strongest-performing Hindi horror-comedies in recent years.
