Gujarat Titans Crush Sunrisers Hyderabad By 82 Runs To Go Top Of IPL 2026 Table

Gujarat Titans produced a dominant all-round performance to thrash Sunrisers Hyderabad by 82 runs in a crucial IPL 2026 clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The emphatic victory helped Gujarat move to the top end of the points table as the playoff race intensified.

After posting a competitive 168/5 in 20 overs, Gujarat’s pace attack completely dismantled Hyderabad, bundling them out for just 86 runs in a one-sided encounter.

Sai Sudharsan, Washington Sundar Rescue Gujarat After Early Blows

Batting first after SRH opted to bowl, Gujarat Titans suffered early setbacks as skipper Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler departed inside the powerplay.

The Sunrisers bowlers struck again in the 10th over by dismissing Nishant Sindhu, leaving Gujarat under pressure. However, opener Sai Sudharsan anchored the innings superbly with a composed 61 off 44 balls, holding one end together while wickets fell around him.

Sudharsan looked set for a bigger finish before SRH eventually removed him at a crucial stage. His dismissal briefly slowed Gujarat’s momentum, but Washington Sundar provided the late acceleration with a brilliant unbeaten 50 off 33 deliveries.

Washington’s aggressive strokeplay in the death overs ensured Gujarat reached a challenging total of 168/5.

Siraj, Rabada Destroy SRH Top Order

The chase turned disastrous for Hyderabad almost immediately.

Mohammed Siraj struck in the very first over to dismiss Travis Head, while Kagiso Rabada removed Abhishek Sharma in the following over.

Rabada continued his fiery spell by sending Ishan Kishan back to the pavilion during the powerplay. Hyderabad’s batting lineup collapsed under relentless pressure as they lost four wickets inside the first six overs.

Klaasen Fights Lone Battle Before Titans Finish The Job

Heinrich Klaasen attempted to revive the innings with Salil Arora through a brief partnership, but Gujarat’s bowlers never allowed SRH to recover.

Prasidh Krishna broke the stand by dismissing Arora before Jason Holder delivered the decisive blow.

Holder removed Klaasen and followed it up with the wicket of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the same over, completely crushing Hyderabad’s hopes.

With the middle order collapsing, SRH offered little resistance thereafter and were eventually bowled out for just 86 runs.

GT Continue Dominance Over SRH

The victory further strengthened Gujarat Titans’ remarkable record against Sunrisers Hyderabad. GT have now won five of their last six completed meetings against SRH and continue to remain unbeaten against Hyderabad in Ahmedabad.

Coming into the match, both teams were level on 14 points from 11 games, making the contest crucial in the race for top-two positions. While SRH had entered the game riding a strong mid-season resurgence under Pat Cummins, Gujarat extended their winning streak to four matches under Shubman Gill’s leadership.

The Titans’ balanced combination of a dependable top order and an aggressive pace attack once again proved too strong for the opposition as they tightened their grip on a playoff berth.
