Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday announced cash rewards for the Indian women’s hockey team following its impressive gold medal-winning performance.
Under the reward announced by the Chief Minister, each player of the Indian women’s hockey team will receive Rs 11 lakh, while every member of the support staff will be given Rs 5.5 lakh.
The announcement comes as recognition of the team’s outstanding performance, determination and commitment during the tournament.
