Puri: Bollywood actor Sanjay Mishra visited the revered Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri during his ongoing stay in Odisha and offered prayers to Lord Jagannath.
Mishra, who is currently in the state for a film shoot, said visiting the temple was a special experience and that he had specifically wanted to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
Actor Receives Mahaprasad
Speaking about his temple visit, Mishra expressed his happiness and spoke about the experience of receiving the sacred Mahaprasad.
“It has been wonderful. We even got some rain. India really needs water. Lord Jagannath has been very gracious,” the actor said.
He added that seeking the deity’s blessings was one of the reasons he wanted to visit Puri during his stay in Odisha.
“I am here to shoot a film, and I wanted to seek His blessings,” Mishra said.
The actor also received Mahaprasad, describing the experience as particularly meaningful.
“I received the Mahaprasad. It was truly special,” he said.
Sanjay Mishra Praises Odisha’s Cleanliness
During his interaction, Mishra also appreciated the cleanliness he observed in Odisha, particularly in the state capital.
“The best part is the cleanliness. Bhubaneswar is very clean,” he remarked.
His comments came during a period when he is spending time in different parts of Odisha for his professional commitments.
Actor Shooting in Konark
Mishra also revealed that he has been shooting in Konark, one of Odisha’s prominent heritage and tourist destinations.
The actor said he had visited Konark earlier as well and was familiar with the iconic location. His ongoing film shoot has given him an opportunity to spend more time exploring some of Odisha’s culturally significant places.
“I Will Keep Coming Back”
The Bollywood actor indicated that his association with Puri and the Jagannath Temple is not new. Mishra said this was not his first visit and expressed his intention to return to the holy city in the future.
“This isn’t my first visit, and I will keep coming back,” he said.
Mishra’s visit to the Jagannath Temple adds another chapter to his ongoing connection with Odisha, combining his professional commitments in the state with a visit to one of India’s most revered pilgrimage destinations.
