Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actor Sanjay Mishra arrived in Bhubaneswar on Thursday to begin shooting for an upcoming Odia film, marking his first acting appearance in an Odia-language production. The veteran actor is expected to remain in Odisha for the shoot until August 26.
Mishra expressed excitement about being part of the Odia film industry and praised the script of the upcoming movie. He also revealed plans to visit some of Odisha’s most prominent temples during his stay.
Sanjay Mishra Begins Odia Film Journey
Speaking about his new project, Sanjay Mishra said the shooting will begin on Friday and that he was impressed by the film’s script.
“I have come here to shoot for an Odia film. The shooting will begin on Friday, and I find the script really good,” Mishra said.
The project marks a new chapter in the actor’s career, as he ventures into Odia cinema for the first time. Known for his versatile performances in Hindi films, Mishra has built a reputation for portraying a wide range of characters with depth and authenticity.
Actor Plans Visit To Puri Jagannath Temple
During his stay in Odisha, Mishra also plans to visit the Jagannath Temple in Puri and the historic Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar.
His visit comes as he begins work on the Odia film, while also getting an opportunity to experience some of the state’s prominent cultural and spiritual landmarks.

With shooting scheduled to continue until August 26 and a Dussehra release planned, the film is expected to attract considerable attention among Odia movie audiences.
