Villagers claim they are struggling for drinking water, food and shelter while awaiting adequate relief assistance.
The latest flooding has compounded the misery of families who were already recovering from damage caused by earlier floods. With waterlogged surroundings and submerged residential areas, daily life has come to a near standstill in the affected village.
Homes Inundated As Baitarani River Swells
Residents said floodwater has entered houses and surrounded entire neighborhoods, leaving families stranded and unable to carry out routine activities.

Protesters alleged that relief support has not reached all affected families despite the worsening flood situation. They claimed that many residents are still waiting for basic necessities, including food, drinking water and temporary shelter materials.
A local resident said villagers remain surrounded by water and are struggling to meet their basic needs. According to the resident, the affected families have not received sufficient assistance to cope with the crisis.
Families Claim They Have Gone Days Without Proper Food
The emotional and humanitarian impact of the floods is becoming increasingly visible in the affected areas.
One woman alleged that her family had been without proper food for three days and expressed concern about the condition of children and women in the village. She said many families were finding it difficult to manage as the flood situation showed little sign of improvement.
Villagers also raised concerns regarding the distribution of protective materials. Some residents claimed that instead of receiving large plastic sheets for temporary shelter, they were given smaller pieces that offered limited protection from rain and flood conditions.
