PM Modi Likely To Visit Odisha For BJP Govt’s Two-Year Celebration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha again as the state government has invited him to attend the celebrations marking the completion of two years of the BJP government in the state.

Informing reporters about the development, Odisha Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari said the Prime Minister has been invited to participate in a special anniversary programme being planned by the state government.

Discussions Underway On PM’s Visit

According to Pujari, discussions are currently underway regarding Modi’s possible schedule and visit to Odisha for the occasion.

The minister said the state government is preparing for the anniversary event while also maintaining focus on expenditure control and austerity measures.

He stated that if the Prime Minister attends the programme, the celebrations will be organised in a simple and disciplined manner without extravagance, in line with the government’s emphasis on financial prudence.

BJP Govt Set To Complete Two Years In Odisha

The BJP government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to complete two years in office this year. Preparations for the anniversary celebrations have already begun within the administration and the party organisation.

Political observers believe the proposed visit could carry both political and administrative significance as the state government seeks to highlight its developmental achievements and welfare initiatives completed during its tenure.

PM Had Visited Odisha Last Year

Prime Minister Modi had earlier visited Odisha on June 20, 2025, to mark the first anniversary of the Mohan Majhi-led BJP government.

During that visit, he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple infrastructure and development projects in the state worth nearly Rs 19,000 crore.
