Bollywood Legend Dharmendra Passes Away at 89, Leaves Behind Iconic Six-Decade Legacy

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, fondly remembered as He-Man of Bollywood and Dharam Paaji, passed away earlier today at the age of 89. The legendary actor breathed his last at his residence after being admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month due to respiratory complications. His death marks the end of an unparalleled cinematic journey spanning over six decades.

Born Dharmendra Singh Deol, he entered the film industry in 1960 and swiftly rose to prominence with his charisma, versatility, and powerful screen presence. Known for portraying both romantic and action-packed roles with equal finesse, Dharmendra starred in more than 300 films, many of which are considered timeless classics.

Dharmendra’s illustrious career includes iconic performances in films such as Sholay, where his portrayal of Veeru became one of the most beloved characters in Indian cinema.
