The distribution of revised textbooks has begun across schools in Odisha after corrections were made to earlier editions. Several schools started providing the updated books to students on Tuesday, allowing them to access corrected study material for the academic year.

Distribution Begins In Schools

Some Students Yet To Receive Books
While students in several schools have received the updated textbooks, reports from other areas indicate that distribution has not yet been completed.
Students who are still waiting for their copies have expressed concerns about continuing their studies without physical textbooks.
Some schools have reportedly been relying on PDF versions of the textbooks to ensure that classroom teaching can continue while printed copies are awaited.
Students Raise Concerns Over Delayed Supply
Students have described the difficulties they face while studying without printed textbooks.
A student, Swapnajit Sahu, said that his school had not yet received the revised books and that teachers were using digital copies for teaching.
“We have not received the revised textbooks yet. Our teachers have been teaching us using PDF copies. It will be easier for us to study if the government provides the books as soon as possible.”
Another student, Aishwarya Das, said that she was still waiting for the Mathematics, English and Hindi textbooks.
According to her, teachers have been using mobile phones to teach the lessons, but studying from digital screens after school hours is difficult.
Schools Expect Complete Supply
School authorities have said they are awaiting the remaining textbooks and will distribute them to students once the books arrive.
Amulya Mishra, Headmaster of Alanahat Government High School, said the school would distribute the textbooks as soon as they were received.
He also said that the necessary corrections had been made in June 2026 and expressed the expectation that students would not face further difficulties once the revised books were supplied.
Revised Books Aim To Address Earlier Errors
The revised textbooks were introduced following corrections to content in the earlier editions.
The distribution is intended to ensure that students have access to the updated material and can continue their academic work using the corrected versions.
However, the reports of pending supplies in some schools indicate that the distribution process is still underway.
As the revised textbooks reach more schools, students and teachers are expected to shift from PDF-based learning to the updated printed books.
