Peddi Box Office Collection Day 3: Ram Charan’s Sports Drama Crosses ₹150 Crore Worldwide

Ram Charan’s much-awaited sports action drama Peddi continues its impressive run at the box office, emerging as one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters of 2026. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana, the film has received largely positive reviews from audiences and critics alike, translating strong word-of-mouth into remarkable ticket sales across domestic and international markets.

Record-Breaking Opening for Ram Charan

The film began its box office journey on a phenomenal note with paid premiere shows on Wednesday, collecting an impressive ₹18.50 crore net. On its official release day, Thursday, the movie added another ₹51 crore net, taking its two-day opening tally to ₹69.50 crore net in India.

This marks the highest solo opening of Ram Charan’s career, surpassing all his previous standalone releases. The only film to have registered a bigger opening for the actor remains the blockbuster RRR, directed by S. S. Rajamouli and co-starring Jr NTR.

Strong Hold Despite Weekday Drop

As expected, Peddi witnessed a decline in collections on Friday, primarily because of the weekday factor. However, despite a nearly 50 percent drop from its opening day numbers, the film managed to collect a healthy ₹26 crore net, indicating strong audience interest.

With this, the film’s total domestic collection reached approximately ₹96.40 crore net (around ₹114.50 crore gross) within just two days. Industry experts believe the film will comfortably cross the coveted ₹100 crore net mark in India during its third day of release.

Overseas Market Drives Global Success

Peddi has also performed exceptionally well in overseas territories. The film reportedly crossed $4 million in international markets within two days, reflecting Ram Charan’s growing global fan base.

Combining domestic and overseas earnings, Peddi has already surpassed ₹150 crore gross worldwide, making it one of the fastest Telugu films of the year to achieve the milestone.

Trade analysts suggest that if the current momentum continues through the weekend, the film could approach the ₹200 crore worldwide mark much sooner than expected.

Telugu Version Dominates Collections

While Peddi was released as a pan-India film in multiple languages, its strongest performance has come from the Telugu-speaking states.

Out of the film’s total India collection of ₹96.40 crore net, more than ₹90 crore has been generated by the Telugu version alone. The dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam have contributed only a small percentage of the overall earnings.

The Hindi version, despite being released across more than 1,000 screens and featuring popular actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani, has earned around ₹5 crore net in its first two days. The figure is considered modest given the film’s large-scale pan-India ambitions.

Positive Word of Mouth Boosting Performance

One of the biggest factors driving Peddi’s box office success has been its positive audience response. Viewers have particularly praised Ram Charan’s intense performance, the film’s sports-based narrative, emotional depth, action sequences, and Buchi Babu Sana’s direction.

Although discussions surrounding the portrayal of the female lead surfaced on social media, the controversy has not appeared to impact the film’s commercial performance.

Set to Surpass Game Changer

Peddi is now rapidly closing in on the lifetime collection of Ram Charan’s previous release, Game Changer, which earned approximately ₹186 crore worldwide.

The sports drama has already outperformed several recent Telugu releases and is expected to cross major milestones in the coming days. Trade circles estimate that the film could touch ₹250 crore worldwide by Sunday or Monday if the weekend trend remains strong.

The film’s long-term box office success will largely depend on its performance during the weekdays and its ability to sustain momentum amid upcoming releases.

Box Office Outlook

With strong advance bookings, positive audience feedback, and a massive opening weekend underway, Peddi has firmly established itself as one of the biggest theatrical events of 2026. The coming week will determine whether the film can maintain its pace and emerge as another landmark blockbuster in Ram Charan’s career.
