Ranveer Singh’s action drama “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (Dhurandhar 2) continues its sensational run at the box office, crossing ₹1,622 crore in gross worldwide collections within just 18 days of release, according to figures shared by Jio Studios.
The film has emerged as one of the biggest Indian box office successes in recent years, maintaining strong momentum across both domestic and international markets.
Massive Earnings in India and Overseas
As per official estimates, the film has collected:
- ₹1,228 crore gross in India
- ₹1,041 crore net domestically
- ₹394 crore from overseas markets
The strong performance across regions has helped the film comfortably surpass the ₹1,600 crore global mark, solidifying its place among the highest-grossing Indian films.
Day 18 Box Office Performance
On Day 18, the film continued to attract audiences across the country, collecting ₹28.75 crore net from 14,229 shows in India.
The film has maintained steady footfall even during weekdays, reflecting sustained interest among viewers nearly three weeks after its release.
Strong Opening Weekend
“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” began its box office journey with an impressive start, including ₹43 crore from paid previews on March 18.
The opening weekend collections were particularly strong:
- March 19: ₹102.55 crore
- March 20: ₹80.72 crore
- March 21: ₹113 crore
- March 22: ₹114.85 crore across 21,633 shows
The film experienced the expected weekday slowdown, with collections dropping to ₹65 crore on the first Monday (March 23). However, throughout the first week, daily earnings remained strong, ranging between ₹40 crore and ₹60 crore.
Joins the ₹1,000 Crore Net Club
The film achieved the ₹1,000 crore net milestone in India within 18 days, placing it among the fastest Indian films to reach this landmark.
However, it narrowly missed the record set by Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2,” which crossed the same mark in just 16 days.
Surpasses ‘Baahubali 2’ Record Pace
In terms of domestic net collections, “Dhurandhar 2” has already overtaken the pace of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster “Baahubali 2.”
The historical epic had collected ₹1,030.40 crore net in India in about a month, while “Dhurandhar 2” crossed that figure in less than three weeks.
Pan-India Appeal Driving Success
Industry analysts attribute the film’s massive earnings to its pan-India reach. Apart from the strong performance of the Hindi version, the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions have also contributed to pushing the overall collections past the ₹1,000 crore mark.
Trade analysts believe that the Hindi version alone could soon cross the ₹1,000 crore net milestone, further strengthening the film’s record-breaking run.
With strong occupancy rates still being reported in theatres, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” is expected to continue its blockbuster run and climb higher on the list of India’s all-time highest-grossing films.
