Iran Sets Three Conditions to End War with US and Israel

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, on Wednesday outlined three key conditions for ending the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel. The Iranian leader said peace could only be achieved if Iran’s rights are recognised, reparations are paid, and international guarantees are provided to prevent future aggression.

In a post on the social media platform X, Pezeshkian said he had reiterated Iran’s commitment to peace during conversations with leaders of Russia and Pakistan.

“Talking to leaders of Russia and Pakistan, I reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to peace in the region. The only way to end this war—ignited by the Zionist regime & US—is recognizing Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees against future aggression,” he wrote.

War Continues Despite Peace Conditions

Despite the call for peace, hostilities between the countries have continued, with fresh missile and drone strikes reported from both sides as the conflict nears the two-week mark.

Iran reportedly intensified attacks targeting shipping traffic and energy infrastructure across the Gulf region. The escalation has pushed global oil prices close to $100 per barrel, raising concerns about disruptions in global energy supply.

Meanwhile, the United States and Israel have continued their military operations against Iranian targets, showing no immediate signs of de-escalation.

Regional Tensions Escalate

According to reports, Iran carried out additional attacks in neighbouring Gulf countries, including Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, despite warnings from the international community and existing resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Missile launches towards Israel were also reported, with sirens and explosions heard in Jerusalem as Israeli air defence systems attempted to intercept the incoming projectiles.

The Israel Defense Forces said it had begun a “wide-scale wave of strikes” targeting locations inside Iran. Israeli forces also launched attacks in Lebanon, stating that the operations were aimed at Iran-backed fighters belonging to the militant group Hezbollah.

US Stance Remains Firm

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, indicated that Washington is unlikely to ease military pressure on Iran anytime soon.

Speaking at an event in Kentucky, Trump said the United States intends to continue its campaign.

“We don’t want to leave early, do we? We’ve got to finish the job,” he said.

With continued strikes, growing regional instability and rising oil prices, the conflict in West Asia is increasingly drawing global concern over its potential economic and geopolitical consequences.
