The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has announced the results of the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2025. The results were officially published on February 12 on the board’s website for candidates who appeared in the examination conducted on December 25, 2025.
According to the official data released by BSE Odisha, around 45,000 candidates appeared for OTET 2025 Paper-I. Out of them, approximately 32,000 candidates have successfully qualified, marking a strong overall pass percentage in the eligibility test for elementary-level teaching posts.
OTET is a key qualifying examination conducted by BSE Odisha to determine the eligibility of candidates for teacher appointments in Classes I to VIII. The qualification is mandatory for those seeking teaching positions in government schools, private aided institutions, and private unaided schools across the state. Candidates who clear the exam become eligible to apply for elementary teaching posts as per recruitment guidelines issued by concerned authorities.
The board had earlier extended the OTET 2025 application deadline till November 27 after receiving multiple requests from applicants who needed additional time to complete their registration and submit forms. Following the extended application window, the examination was held smoothly on December 25 at designated centres across Odisha.
Education officials stated that the timely declaration of results will help qualified candidates proceed with upcoming teacher recruitment processes and documentation requirements. Scorecards and qualification status are now available in online mode only.
