Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has reportedly been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, according to sources close to the family. The 88-year-old actor’s health has once again become a topic of concern among fans and well-wishers, though the reason for his latest hospital visit remains undisclosed.
This comes barely a week after Dharmendra underwent a routine medical check-up at the same hospital. At that time, his wife and veteran actor-politician Hema Malini had assured the media that the actor was “absolutely fine.”
Dharmendra Admitted to Breach Candy Hospital
As per reports, Dharmendra was admitted on Monday, though no official statement has been released by the family so far. Hospital authorities have also refrained from commenting on the actor’s condition. Sources say further details are awaited and that the actor is being monitored by a team of specialists.
The news has sparked an outpouring of concern on social media, with fans sending prayers and wishing the veteran actor a speedy recovery.
Earlier Assurances from Hema Malini
Earlier this month, after Dharmendra’s previous hospital visit, Hema Malini had personally assured fans that he was in good health. When photographers at the airport asked about his condition, she simply responded with a smile and a reassuring “okay” gesture, expressing gratitude to those concerned.
At the time, a source close to the actor clarified that his hospital visit was part of routine health check-ups. “There is absolutely no cause for concern. Dharmendra regularly undergoes medical tests and is doing well. The reports about him being unwell were exaggerated,” the source said.
A Legendary Career and Ongoing Fan Love
Known as Bollywood’s “He-Man,” Dharmendra continues to hold a special place in the hearts of movie lovers. With iconic roles in films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Phool Aur Patthar, he remains one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated stars.
