‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ Creates Massive Buzz, Earns ₹60 Crore in Advance Bookings Ahead of Release

With just six days left for its theatrical release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already created a huge buzz at the box office. While regular shows are yet to open for booking across India, the film’s preview screenings and premiere shows are witnessing an overwhelming response from audiences.

According to early trade estimates, the much-anticipated spy thriller has already sold over 4.7 lakh tickets nationwide, generating a gross of ₹24.4 crore in India through advance bookings alone. The strong early response indicates that the film could soon set a new record for the biggest premiere collection for an Indian film.

Trailer Release Boosts Advance Booking

Directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, the film dropped its much-awaited trailer last week. On the same day, advance bookings for preview shows began, triggering massive demand among fans.

Industry analysts say that the film is on track to surpass the ₹25-crore premiere record set by OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, last year.

Strong Overseas Collections

The film is also performing exceptionally well in international markets. In United States and Canada, advance bookings have already generated nearly $3 million for the opening weekend, including about $1 million from premiere shows alone.

Additionally, the movie has reportedly earned close to $1 million in advance bookings across other overseas territories, including markets in Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

With these figures combined, the film’s worldwide advance booking gross has already reached nearly ₹60 crore, even before the full-scale advance bookings for regular shows open in India. Trade experts believe the figure could cross ₹100 crore in the coming days as more screens open bookings.

First Film Re-Released to Build Hype

To further build excitement for the sequel, the original film Dhurandhar has returned to theatres in a major re-release campaign.

The first instalment, which had become a blockbuster upon its release, earned around ₹1300 crore globally. It is now being screened again across 500 screens worldwide, including 250 screens in India, making it one of the largest Bollywood re-releases in recent years.

Trade analysts believe the re-release will boost anticipation and drive audience interest ahead of the sequel’s arrival in theatres.

With massive advance bookings, strong overseas performance, and growing hype among fans, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is shaping up to be one of the biggest box-office openings of the year.
