With eight days still remaining for its release, advance bookings for Dhurandhar: The Revenge have already reached remarkable levels across India. The film will first screen through paid previews on March 18 in select theatres before its official nationwide release on March 19.
Despite unusually high ticket prices, the preview shows are witnessing overwhelming demand, with tickets selling out rapidly in several major cities.
Sky-High Ticket Prices for Preview Shows
Multiplexes across metropolitan cities have set premium prices for the preview screenings. In many theatres, tickets for regular formats are priced between ₹600 and ₹900, while IMAX shows have crossed ₹1000 in some locations.
Premium luxury formats featuring recliner seating have even higher prices. The most expensive ticket currently available is at the INOX Megaplex in Mumbai’s Borivali area, where recliner seats are priced at ₹3100.
In New Delhi, recliner seats at PVR Select City Walk are priced at around ₹2400. Despite these steep prices, many of these shows are already sold out or nearing full capacity.
Average Ticket Prices Touch Record Levels
The average ticket price for the Hindi version of the film is reportedly around ₹418, which is significantly higher than the usual ticket prices for Bollywood releases.
Premium viewing formats such as Dolby Cinema have even higher average prices, reaching ₹759 per ticket.
The dubbed versions are also witnessing strong demand. The Kannada version has an average ticket price of around ₹445, while the Telugu version averages about ₹230. Meanwhile, the Tamil version remains comparatively cheaper due to regional ticket price regulations, averaging ₹166 per ticket.

Advance Booking Crosses ₹15 Crore
Strong audience interest has driven the film’s advance booking numbers to impressive levels. According to industry estimates, the movie has already sold nearly 3 lakh tickets across India for its preview shows.
This has generated more than ₹15 crore in advance ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing premiere booking for a Bollywood film so far.
Could Break Pan-India Premiere Record
If the current booking trend continues, the film may surpass the **₹25 crore premiere record set by OG starring Pawan Kalyan.
Trade analysts believe the strong advance booking numbers indicate massive anticipation among audiences for the sequel, which follows the success of the original Dhurandhar.
With preview shows already witnessing massive demand and ticket prices reaching record highs, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is expected to open with one of the biggest box-office debuts of the year.
