Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Odisha on Thursday for a two-day official visit, during which he will attend multiple programmes across Cuttack, Jatani, Paradip and Bhubaneswar.

Shah is expected to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport at around 8:00 pm and will stay overnight in Bhubaneswar. His official engagements will begin on March 6, with a packed schedule featuring foundation ceremonies, inaugurations and public programmes.

CISF Raising Day at Mundali

On the morning of March 6, the Home Minister will attend the Raising Day programme of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Mundali in Cuttack. The annual event marks the foundation day of the paramilitary force and includes ceremonial parades, honours and official addresses.

Foundation Stones for NFSU and CFSL in Jatani

In the afternoon, Shah is slated to lay the foundation stone for the campus of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) at Jatani. He will also virtually inaugurate the NFSU transit campus, aimed at strengthening forensic education and research infrastructure in the state.

These projects are expected to enhance Odisha’s capacity in criminal investigation, forensic research and scientific support to law enforcement agencies.

IFFCO Plant Inauguration in Paradip

The Union Minister will also inaugurate the sulphuric acid plant of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) at its Paradip unit. The new facility is expected to boost fertiliser production and support agricultural activities in the region.

Naveen Nyaya Samhita Exhibition and White Revolution 2.0

Later in the day, Shah will inaugurate the Naveen Nyaya Samhita exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. The programme will include the inauguration and foundation laying of projects related to the Cooperation Department and other state departments.

He is also scheduled to participate in the ‘White Revolution 2.0’ programme, which focuses on expanding dairy production through cooperative models, empowering youth and strengthening farmer livelihoods.

After completing his engagements, Shah will return to New Delhi aboard a BSF aircraft. Extensive administrative and security arrangements have been put in place across the venues in view of the high-profile visit.
