The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a one-time correction facility for candidates registered for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2, enabling them to edit specific details in their online application forms. The move follows multiple representations from students requesting an opportunity to rectify errors in submitted forms.
The Agency said the decision has been taken in the interest of candidates to prevent inconvenience and ensure accurate records before the examination process moves forward.
Correction Window Dates and Timings
The correction window for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 will remain open from February 27 to February 28, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM).
During this period, candidates can log in to the official JEE Main portal and modify permitted fields as listed in the official notification (Annexure 1). The facility will automatically close at 11:50 PM on February 28, and no further requests will be entertained after the deadline.
Who Can Use the Correction Facility?
The one-time correction window is available to:

All registered applicants have been advised to carefully review their personal details, category information, exam city preferences and other relevant particulars, and make necessary corrections within the stipulated timeframe.
Fee Payment for Changes, If Applicable
The NTA has clarified that any additional fee arising due to changes in category, paper, or other permissible fields must be paid online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
The application form will be considered updated only after successful payment of any additional charges, where applicable.
Strict Deadline and No Further Opportunity
The Agency has emphasized that this is strictly a one-time correction opportunity. No modifications will be allowed after February 28, 2026, under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore urged to verify their details carefully before final submission.
