President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Odisha from February 2, Attend Fakir Mohan University Convocation in Balasore

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to undertake a five-day visit to Odisha beginning February 2, during which she will participate in a series of official, cultural, and religious programmes across multiple districts of the state. One of the key highlights of her visit will be her presence at the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore, where she will grace the event as the chief guest on February 3.

Convocation Ceremony in Balasore

According to official sources, the convocation ceremony will be held at the university campus in Balasore, where graduating students will receive their degrees in the presence of the President. Confirming the schedule, Vice-Chancellor Santosh Kumar Tripathy stated that President Murmu’s participation in the convocation is a moment of pride for the institution and the entire region.

The university administration, in coordination with the district authorities and state government, is expected to put in place comprehensive arrangements, including security protocols, traffic management, and logistical planning, to ensure the smooth conduct of the high-profile event.

Arrival and Stay in Bhubaneswar

As per the itinerary, President Murmu will arrive in Bhubaneswar on February 2 and stay overnight in the state capital. Senior officials of the Odisha government are expected to receive her at the airport, following which official engagements and security briefings will take place in preparation for the subsequent programmes.

Spiritual Visit to Jajpur

On February 4, the President will travel to Jajpur, where she is scheduled to offer prayers at the revered Maa Biraja Temple. The visit is expected to draw significant attention from devotees and local residents, with special arrangements being made for crowd management and security.

Programmes in Mayurbhanj

Following her visit to Jajpur, President Murmu will proceed to Mayurbhanj district, where she will attend multiple programmes on February 5 and February 6. These engagements are part of her extended visit to the state and are expected to include interactions with local communities and participation in official events.

The Odisha government has begun coordinating with district administrations, police authorities, and central security agencies to ensure a seamless and secure visit.
