SRH Crush RCB By 55 Runs In IPL 2026 Thriller

Sunrisers Hyderabad delivered a sensational batting performance to defeat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 55 runs in Match 67 of the Indian Premier League at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday night.

In what looked like another high-scoring IPL contest, SRH completely dominated the game after piling up a massive 255/4 in 20 overs. Despite a fighting effort from RCB during the chase, the visitors never truly recovered from the brutal assault unleashed by the SRH batting unit.

Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan And Klaasen Power SRH To 255

SRH started aggressively right from the first over with Abhishek Sharma taking the attack to the RCB bowlers. The explosive opener smashed 56 runs off just 22 balls, hammering five sixes and four boundaries to give Hyderabad the perfect start.

Travis Head chipped in with a quickfire 26 off 16 deliveries before Ishan Kishan took complete control of the innings.

Kishan played a brilliant knock of 79 runs from 46 balls, combining power-hitting with smart strike rotation to keep the scoreboard moving rapidly throughout the middle overs.

Towards the end, Heinrich Klaasen delivered another trademark finishing assault, smashing 51 runs off only 24 balls. Nitish Kumar Reddy added the final flourish with an unbeaten 29 off 12 balls as SRH crossed the 250-run mark comfortably.

For RCB, Rasikh Salam picked up two wickets, while Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya claimed one wicket each. However, the bowlers struggled throughout the innings as SRH batters attacked relentlessly from start to finish.

RCB Fightback Falls Short

Chasing a daunting target of 256, Royal Challengers Bengaluru needed a flying start and got one through Venkatesh Iyer, who played an entertaining knock of 44 off just 19 deliveries.

RCB attempted to keep pace with the required run rate, but regular wickets and scoreboard pressure prevented them from building any long partnerships. Despite resistance from skipper Rajat Patidar and Venkatesh Iyer, the chase gradually slipped away as SRH bowlers tightened control during the middle overs.

The comprehensive victory strengthened SRH’s momentum in the tournament, while RCB were left searching for answers after conceding one of the highest totals of the season.
