Students of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) have delivered an impressive performance in the CBSE Class XII Board Examination 2025-26, with several students from the Science and Commerce streams securing high scores and bringing recognition to the state-run school system.
The Odisha Department of School and Mass Education shared the achievement through an official social media post, congratulating students, teachers and parents for the strong results.
Science Stream Registers Strong Performance
According to the department, the Science stream recorded an overall pass percentage of 73.5 per cent in the CBSE Class XII examinations this year. A total of 112 students from the stream scored above 90 per cent marks, reflecting consistent academic performance across various Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas.
Priyadarshini Behera from OAV Dhobatota in Kandhamal district emerged as the topper in the Science stream by securing an outstanding 97.6 per cent marks.
The performance has been seen as a significant achievement for the OAVS system, which aims to provide quality English-medium education to students in rural and remote regions of Odisha.
Commerce Stream Shows Major Improvement
The Commerce stream also witnessed remarkable improvement this year, recording an overall pass percentage of 88.9 per cent. Officials stated that the stream performed considerably better compared to the previous academic session.
As many as 14 students from the Commerce stream secured marks above 90 per cent in the examination.
Disha Saha of OAV Sanmouda in Mayurbhanj district topped the Commerce stream with 96.8 per cent marks, emerging as one of the highest scorers in the OAVS system this year.
Department Congratulates Students and Teachers
The Department of School and Mass Education congratulated all successful students, teachers and parents for their contribution towards the achievement.
“Heartiest congratulations to all the students, teachers, and parents on this remarkable achievement,” the department stated in its official message.
The Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan has continued to strengthen its academic presence in recent years, with students consistently performing well in national-level board examinations. The latest results are being viewed as another positive milestone for Odisha’s school education system.
