UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025 Results Declared; Anuj Agnihotri Tops, 958 Candidates Qualify

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025, one of India’s most prestigious and competitive recruitment tests for top administrative services.

According to the results released by the commission, 958 candidates have successfully qualified after clearing the rigorous multi-stage selection process that includes the preliminary examination, the main examination and the personality test.

Top Rankers of UPSC CSE 2025

In the final merit list, Anuj Agnihotri secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1, emerging as the topper of the examination. Rajeshwari Suve M achieved the second rank, while Akansh Dhull secured the third position.

Among the other candidates in the top ten list:

  • Ishan Bhattnagar – Rank 5

  • Zinnia Aurora – Rank 6

  • A R Rajah Mohaedeen – Rank 7

  • Pakshal Secretry – Rank 8

  • Astha Jain – Rank 9

  • Ujjwal Priyank – Rank 10

The Civil Services Examination is conducted every year to recruit officers for elite government services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

Candidates from Odisha also featured in the merit list this year. Satwik Satyakam Debata secured the 100th rank, while Amrit Mohapatra achieved the 121st rank in the examination.

A Major Milestone for Aspirants

The declaration of the results marks a significant achievement for the successful candidates who spent years preparing for one of the toughest examinations in the country. Clearing the Civil Services Examination opens the door for them to take up key administrative roles and contribute to governance and public service across India.

The newly selected candidates will now undergo training before being assigned to various services and cadres across the country.
