This year, the examinations will be conducted across 3,082 centers spread throughout the state, ensuring wide coverage and accessibility for students.

Over 5.61 Lakh Students Registered

According to the Board, a total of 5,61,979 students have registered for the Matric examination this year. To facilitate the secure handling and storage of question papers, the Board has established 322 nodal centers across Odisha.

The Chairperson emphasized that ensuring transparency and preventing malpractice remain top priorities for the Board.

CCTV Surveillance and Central Monitoring

To strengthen examination security, CCTV cameras have been installed in all examination centers. The entire examination process will be monitored in real time from the BSE command and control room, allowing authorities to respond swiftly to any irregularities.

“The State Open School Certificate Examination will be conducted over an 11-day period from 9 am to 11.30 am. Around **5.61 lakh students will appear at 3,082 centers. Through live CCTV surveillance and QR-coded question papers, we will strictly monitor all nodal and examination centers without any deviation,” said Chairperson Shrikanta Tarai.

Special Focus on Remote Districts

Special monitoring arrangements have been made for five remote districts—Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, and Sundargarh. Live CCTV footage from nodal centers in these districts will be transmitted to examination centers through an approved and secured network path, ensuring seamless oversight.

Additionally, question papers will feature watermarks and QR codes on every page, enabling the Board to track their movement and location at every stage and prevent leakage or misuse.

Student-Friendly Centre Allocation

To reduce inconvenience for candidates, examination centers have been allotted within a distance of 3 to 10 kilometers from students’ residences, the Board informed.

With robust security protocols, advanced technological monitoring, and meticulous planning, the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, aims to conduct the Matric examination smoothly, transparently, and in a completely malpractice-free manner across the state.
